Assistant Accountant/Accounts Technician

Dungannon (BT71)

Salary c.£30K – £35K DOE

On behalf of our client a growing wholesale and distribution business, McKinty Associates are delighted to invite an experienced Assistant Accountant/Accounts Technician to join our clients’ finance team. Reporting to the FD this will be a varied commercially focused role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bank reconciliations
• Sales/Purchase Ledger
• Vat Returns
• Monthly management accounts
• Stock
• KPI Reporting
• Journals
• Ad hoc duties as required by the FD

Eligibility criteria:

• Qualified Accounts Technician / Part Qualified Accountant
• Recent experience in a fast-paced commercial accounting role
• Experience of preparing management accounts
• Competent experience using Navision / other relevant accounting programs
• Excellent Excel skills (vlookups, sumif, pivot tables etc)
• Ability to work effectively both alone and in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Time management and organisation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
