McKinty Associates are pleased to be working an expanding accountancy practice based in County Down, who have a current need for an experienced Accountant to join their busy team due to a continued period of growth. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing firm and work with a dedicated portfolio from a mixed client base.

This position also offers a very competitive benefits package including: Holidays of 30 days with increase with length of service to 35 days and enhanced sick pay policy.

**We are happy to consider applications from candidates in the market for 4 or 5 days per week**

Main duties will include:

• Accounts preparation for a mix of Sole traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies
• Manage and work closely with a portfolio of clients
• Prepare VAT returns and HMRC duties
• Bookkeeping duties using cloud-based software
• Prepare personal tax returns and corporations tax computations

Essential eligibility criteria:

• Previous relevant experience in a in a small to medium sized practice environment (Essential)
• Either fully qualified or qualified by experience
• Excellent Accounting experience
• Be proficient with relevant accounting packages (QuickBooks or similar accountancy package)
• Have the ability to manage a busy and varied workload and meet deadlines
• Ability to liaise with clients across a range of sectors and able to add value
• Team player
• Keen eye for detail
• Effective communicator
